Rhodes Town Beach (Elli Beach)
Elli Beach is located at the northern most part of the island and is considered to be the official beach of Rhodes town. Rather than sand, the 400 meters long beach is pebbly and it stretches from Mandraki harbor right to the aquarium.
Like all of the beaches, the water around Elli beach is also pristine but it usually remains calm rather than turbulent. Sunbathe on the sun beds or take part in water sports such as banana boat rides, parasailing or diving. However, since the beach is littered with pebbles, bringing small children is not a good idea.
